We are hiring two Ph.D. and one PostDoc (Application deadline 3 January 2023)

Dr. Jürgen Hackl in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Princeton University is looking for highly motivated individuals to pursue doctoral degrees or a postdoctoral position with a specialization in Complex Infrastructure Systems. Full financial support will be provided (Ph.D. includes tuition and stipend). Funding for travel and participation at conferences will also be provided. The expected starting semester is Fall 2023. Research in one or more of the following areas is expected for successful candidates:

  • Network Analysis, e.g., spatial-temporal networks, multilayer/multiplex networks, random graph models, network dynamics, higher-order-networks.
  • Machine Learning, e.g., Graph ML, deep and recurrent neural networks, generative models, reinforcement learning, online machine learning.
  • Computational Modeling, e.g., natural hazard, deterioration, transportation, risk and reliability, probabilistic modeling, infrastructure systems, digital twins.
